Mission
The International Institute for Liberty, Democracy & Progress (IILDP) is a non-profit civil association with a liberal outlook, dedicated to advancing individual liberty, liberal democracy, the rule of law and the progress of societies.
We work through ideas, research, leadership development and public policy advocacy, with an international perspective and a particular focus on Latin America.
Vision
We aim to be a space for thought, learning and action that brings together young leaders, scholars, professionals, public servants and civil society actors.
We are united by the defense of individual freedoms, the strengthening of democratic institutions and the building of open, prosperous societies that respect human rights.
One conviction
Liberty
Individual liberty is the starting point: people who choose, create, speak their minds and build enterprises without asking permission.
Democracy
Institutions that limit power, guarantee alternation in office and protect minorities under the rule of law.
Progress
Prosperous societies that widen opportunity for everyone. The three pillars do not compete: they hold each other up.
Independence
The IILDP has no party affiliation. Its liberal outlook is a tradition of ideas, not an electoral banner.
Its research will be published in full, with sources and data, so that anyone can verify and debate it.
